Obituary of Sam Leganchuk
Samuel Maurice Leganchuk was born on August 8, 1949 in High Prairie, Alberta to parents Maurice and Gladys Leganchuk.
Along with his partner, Denise, Sam moved to Provost in the summer of 1986 where he opened and operated Provost Hardware for the rest of his life. Sam was a pillar in our community, was generous with his time and friendship and had a soft spot for an animal in need.
Sadly and unexpectedly, Sam passed away on January 30, 2022 at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 72 years.
He will be terribly missed by his family, friends, and community members.
Denise would like to extend an opportunity for those who would like to view and pay their respects to Sam on Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Gregory’s Funeral Home Chapel, located at 5135 52 Street, Provost, Alberta. For those unable to attend this event, memorial folders, and a book for people to sign for Denise will be dropped off at Provost Hardware on Friday, February 4, 2022.
