Rose passed peacefully away at the CNRHC, on November 16, 2022, surrounding by her loving family at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her husband Fred and grandson Justin, parents Joseph and Flora Randell, her brothers Thomas and Samuel, and her sister Lily. She leaves to mourn her sons Robert, Fred (Sharon), David (Sylvia), Dale (Paula), Larry (Kelly), and Jeff (Dolores) and her daughters Eileen (Alvin), Diane (Ed), Joy (Bill), Karen (Denley), and 24 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren. Rose also leaves to mourn her sister Violet (Junior), and brothers Albert (Joan), Robert (Carol), George, Norman (Carol-Ann).
Rose was a strong, determined woman who spent her early years dedicated to raising her children and making sure they did not go without. Along with raising her own family, she took great pride and joy in helping to raise her grandchildren, and cherished every moment spent with her great-grandchildren.
In her later years she became a devoted Salvation Army Soldier, who attended her church and Home League meetings faithfully. It was a common occurrence to walk into her house and see her sat at the table reading her Bible and doing her daily devotions. While sitting there she became an avid bird watcher and could name any species who “visited” her on the feeders. She could also be found sitting in her rocking chair knitting countless pairs of socks and dishcloths. For her 80Th birthday she asked for an iPad and very quickly became adept at using it to socialize on Facebook and Instagram.
Rose’s big heart and captivating smile will be sadly missed by anyone who ever had the privilege of spending time in her presence.
Pallbearers: Sons Fred, David, Dale, Larry, Jeff Drover and eldest grandson Fred Pope.
