Obituary:
DABROWSKI, Ryszard Jozef (Richard Joseph), passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2022. Ryszard was born on November 16,1932 in Szpanow, Poland. He immigrated to Canada from Poland in February 1959. He married Krystyna in 1967. Ryszard’s early work history was in construction, and he travelled all over the province working construction sites. He worked on the Peace River project for over a year. He also worked in Jamaica for a year before he started working for Canada Post at the main Post Office as a machinist. He was active in the Polish community especially in the Polish Friendship Zgoda Society.
Ryszard was predeceased by his loving wife, Krystyna, parents Maria, Edward, and Nadzieja. Lovingly survived by daughters Annette, Rita (Tim), grandson Lukasz, sisters Wanda, Jozefa (Stanislaw), Henryka (Stanislaw) and brother Chris (Lisa), and many nieces and nephews in Vancouver and in Poland and friends and neighbours. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and he will be deeply missed. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 10:00am at St. Casimir’s Church (1187 E 27th Ave, Vancouver), followed by burial at Gardens of Gethsemani (15800 – 32nd Ave, Surrey).
