Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ryan Bradley Stonechild (Weyweyotung, Singing Thunderbird), father, grandfather, and brother. Ryan was called home at Calgary, Alberta on August 11, 2022. Ryan was predeceased by his parents Kenneth Stonechild and Gladys Stonechild (nee Kahnapace), infant son Brandon Stonechild. Sisters; Cheryle Sangwais, Trudy Obey. Nephew: Chad Kahnapace. Nieces: Tara Stonechild, Andrea Kahnapace, Billi-Jo McKay, Shannon Stonechild. Brothers in law: Greg, Roddy and Dexter.. Ryan is survived by his children Kelly (David), Jessica (Adam). Grandchildren: Rayne-Storm Stonechild-Desjarlais, Mathias, Kamari, Jordana. Brothers; Donovan, Randy (Brenda), Brendan. Sisters; Ronda, Debbie, Maggie (Monty), Kendra, Sonia. Special Nephews: Gregory, Raimey, Scotty, Lionel Jr.. Special Nieces: Janelle, Dalas, Naomi, Melina and many other numerous family members.
Ryan had a great sense of humour and a knack for mechanics. Ryan spent his last few years in Calgary. He enjoyed guitar playing and music. We will miss his easy going nature, humor, good-natured teasing, and his smiles.
We thank Okanese First Nation and Pasqua First Nation for all the support at this time. A traditional Wake will be held, Friday, August 19, 2022, at the Okanese First Nation Learning Centre at 4:00 pm.
