Ryan’s Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce Ryan Aubrey Ronald Barkhouse age 33 of New Ross, passed away February 12 2022.
Born in Kentville on March 3 1988 he was the son of Betty Anne (Hayes) and the late Robert Barkhouse. He graduated from Forest Heights High School and the Center of Arts and Tech. Ryan worked as a security guard after graduation.
For those who had the privilege of meeting Ryan knew that he was an outstanding father, son, brother and friend. He was a very loving, patient and caring person, who put others’ needs before his own. His kindness stretched to caring for any stray animal that crossed his path.
Ryan’s humor and good nature enabled him to have many friends from different countries. It was comforting to know how far his big heart reached. In his free time Ryan enjoyed a variety of hobbies such as collecting transformers, gardening, model kits, music and cooking.
He is survived by his partner Marilee, daughter Sadie, step son Alex, mother Betty Anne(Bill), siblings Jonathan and Jessica (Brandon), nephew Marshall, grandmother Eleanor Barkhouse, Marilyn Hayes, great grandmother Eileen Chapman plus many Uncles, Aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Robert, grandfather Ronald T. Barkhouse, and Uncle Jimmy
A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm Saturday February 19th, in the Forties Community Centre. Due to COVID-19 restrictions proof of vaccinations, government id and masks and hand sanitizing will be required. Private family burial will take place at a later date in the New Ross Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Forties Community Centre or the New Ross Volunteer Fire Department.
