Obituary of Ruth Marie Halliwell
Born: Cranbrook, B.C. May 27, 1947
Passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022, after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s.
Ruth loved spending time in nature and all kinds of animals. Her days were spent on trail rides, making art, listening, and dancing to music, gardening, and most of all being with the people she loved.
Ruth had a passion for helping others and volunteering. Many people would know her from the Elkford Volunteer Fire Department, the Fort Steele barns, the Green Home, Scandinavian Club, and the Seniors Hall.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Ross Halliwell, children Lori (Clint) Johnson, grandsons Bryce and Logan, Dave Halliwell, and fiancé Heather Stronge and grandchildren Marlon and Abby.
She was blessed with a large family and extended family that she loved dearly and had many laughs with, she was supported by several close friends that she treasured.
A Celebration of Life will be arranged for a later date.
