Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Ridgway
It is with great sorrow, the family of Ruth Elizabeth Ridgway, wife of Robert Ridgway of Quispamsis, announce her passing on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Toronto on June 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Olive (Maines) Currey. After starting a family, Ruth and Robert moved from Toronto to Rothesay. She would often make trips back to Toronto to spend time with her family. Ruth enjoyed raising and watching her family grow. Ruth enjoyed figure skating, taking her daughter and granddaughters halfway across Canada for competitions.
Besides her husband of 60 years, Ruth is survived by her children; John (Barb), and Kim MacVey, both of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Christopher (Krystal), Kaitlynn (Brock), Jonathan (Sam), Kyle, and Kelly (Dylan), great grandchildren; Aiden, Skylar, and Molly. She will be deeply missed.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, service details will be available on the funeral home website at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be to a charity of the donor’s choice.
