Ruth Althea Mitchell 1927 2022

Ruth Althea Mitchell age 95 of Horseheads, NY went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday October 13,2022. Ruth was born January 14, 1927 in Delmar Township, PA the daughter of the late John Frederick Priset and May Elizabeth Hittle Priset. She married her husband Frederick Mitchell on October 13, 1957 and he pre-deceased her in May 1992. Ruth was also pre-deceased by her son Arthur John Mitchell in 1975 and 10 brothers and sisters. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed the time she spent with them. Ruth is survived by her loving and devoted children : Victor and Kay (Newcomer) Mitchell of North Carolina , Adrian R. and Sandy (Zobel) Mitchell of Horseheads, NY, Darlene Schwartz of Penn Yan, NY , and Rick Mitchell of Honeoye, NY ; several grandchildren , great grandchildren, nieces, nephews , cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Monday October 17, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. Mrs. Mitchell’s Funeral and Committal Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1 PM. Her nephew Rev. Dwayne Priset will officiate . Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband Fred in Chemung Cemetery. Words of Condolence and Memories may be shared at www.lynchsfuneralhome.com .
