Brown, Ruth “Ruthie” – The peaceful death occurred in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, on February 25, 2022, of Ruth “Ruthie” (MacDonald) Brown of Enfield, in her 90th year. She was the wife of the late John Brown. Ruthie was born in Souris, PEI, a daughter of the late Hubert-Alec and Alice “Bessie” MacDonald.
She is survived by her son, Christopher; brothers, Billy and Syl; sister, Sheila Guay; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Jack and Lavern; and caregiver and friend, Adam, who was like a son to her.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Francis, Alexander, Gordon “Buddy”, John E. “Johnny”, Harry; sisters, Alice Elizabeth “Betty”, Helen “Daisy”, Gertrude “Gerty”, Dorothy, Edna, Elsie, Edie and Catherine “Kay”.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A funeral mass and burial will take place at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church at a later date in the spring. Ruthie’s family would like to acknowledge and thank Jack, Lavern and Adam for the care, friendship and support provided to Ruthie.
