Ruth’s Obituary
Epton, Ruth J. (Jamieson) – 65, North Wallace, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Oxford, May 30, 2022. Born March 15, 1957 in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of Pauline (Moody) Jamieson of Pugwash and the late Frank Jamieson. Ruth was a caring and loving person throughout her life and continued after death by donating her body to science. She had worked as a hairdresser, a CCA with the Victorian Order of Nurses and had delivered the Halifax Herald for many years. Besides her mother she is survived by her daughter, Paula Epton-Oickle (Jamie), Oxford; grandchildren, Norissa Epton, Asia Epton and Jazmine Epton, all of Oxford; great granddaughter, Mercedes-Jazmine Arsenault, Oxford; brothers, Roddy (Raylene) Jamieson, Oxford, Carl (Deb) Jamieson, Puslinch, ON, Fred (Sue) Jamieson, Putman, ON, and Ivan (Joan) Jamieson, North Wallace; sisters, Colleen Jamieson, Oxford, Cathleen Jamieson, Summerland, BC, Virginia Brown (Sterling Gillis), Charlottetown, PEI; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Besides her father she was predeceased by sisters Emma in infancy and Sylvia. Donations in memory may be made to Dalhousie University Research or St. Andrews United Church, Fox Harbour.
