Ruth’s Obituary
Surrounded by the love and support of her family, Ruth Hodder passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 3, 2022 at Park Lane Terrace in Paris, Ontario. She was 99 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald Albert Hodder in 2021. Beloved mother of David (Juanita). Loving grandmother of Samantha Kuches (Phil) and Nathan and great-grandmother of Ephraim James. Pre-deceased by her sister Dorothy Nutall (the late Kenneth). Beloved sister-in-law of Marjorie Bull (the late Richard). Forever remembered by Theresa Glover (Tim), Laura Lambier (Eric), extended family and many dear friends. Ruth was a member of St. James Anglican Church in Paris where she and Ronald spent many years singing together in the church choir. She was an active member of the St. James Chancel Guild for many years. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling. In her later years, she enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting. Her knitted creations were donated through St. James Anglican Church to many people in need around the world.
Thank you to the Staff at Park Lane Terrace for their love and support provided to Ruth. The kindness shown will never be forgotten.
Friends will be welcomed at the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris, on Monday August 8, 2022. From 10 – 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Father Jason Postma of St. James Anglican Church will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Paris Cemetery. In Ruth’s memory, donations to the Park Lane Terrace Resident’s Council would be appreciated by the family.
