Bartlett, Ruth Eileen (Heckadon) (April 25, 1928 – March 27, 2022)
Passed away, peacefully, on Sunday, March 27th, 2022, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Ruth Eileen (Heckadon) Bartlett, a longtime Tillsonburg resident, in her 94th year. Born in Brantford, Ontario, to the late Gordon Heckadon and the late former Laura Penrose. For many years, Ruth was a resident of Maple Lane Seniors Residence, Tillsonburg, where she enjoyed volunteering with the annual yard sales, playing euchre and shuffleboard with other residents. Ruth was a past member of Salvation Army Community Church, Tillsonburg. Predeceased by her much loved husband and best friend Wilfred Verne Bartlett (March 1, 2015). Survived by her son Earl, three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also survived by close friends Geraldine Brisebois, Maurice Rigole and by several friends in her residential building.
In keeping with Ruth’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Private interment of both Ruth and Wilfred’s cremated remains will take place in the Tillsonburg Cemetery Columbarium Wall 6. All who knew Ruth are invited to share special memories, favourite photos or contribute memorial donations to “Salvation Army, Tillsonburg” or to the “Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation” via Ruth’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
