Obituary
RICE, Ruth Cavell (nee Parsons) – Passed peacefully away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband and everything: Stanley Rice, September 18, 2021; her parents: Hector and Rebecca Parsons; parents-in-law: Freake and Sadie Rice; granddaughter Piper; brother-in-law Junior Dawe; sister-in-law Vonnie.
Left with fond and loving memories her adored daughter Jeanette (Colin) Stewart; precious grandchildren: Floyd and Klohee, whom she adored; her furry loves: Lola and Pita; brothers and sisters: Doris, Roger, Reg, Juanita and their families; brothers and sisters-in-law: Marilyn, Mervin, Kimberly and their families; as well many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to many to mention.
We will cherish all our memories of Ruth. She was a devoted and loving wife to her best friend and husband Stanley (her everything). Ruth had a kind heart and would do anything to help anyone, often putting others first before herself. Family was everything to her especially her precious grandchildren. Her and Stan loved them unconditionally, even planning ahead for their education by setting up an education fund for their future education needs.
At Ruth’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at this time.
