Russell George Hawkes
1960-2022
We sadly announce the sudden passing of Rusty Hawkes of
Lakeville at his home on Friday, January 28, 2022. Born in Middleton,
NS, he was the son of the late Norman and Marshaline (MacEachern)
Hawkes.
He loved nature and spending time outdoors. Fishing,
birdwatching, admiring the wildlife, and riding his Harley were among
his favourite things to do.
He will be dearly missed by his sister Holly, brother Ralph,
best friend John Edgett, nephew Gavin, and niece Ella. He is also
survived by his children Audrey and Sam.
Cremation has taken place at Cobb’s Funeral Home
and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007). Due to
the current COVID-19 restrictions, an interment will take place at
Grey’s Island Cemetery in the spring. Donations to the SPCA
or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by
