It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby Combden announce her passing on February 12, 2022, in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 76 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her loving husband of 57 years, Melvin Combden; children: Gaden (Karen), Wanda Bungay (Kevin), Barry (Mona), Tina (Keith), Roxanne (Dilbert); grandchildren: Amanda, Nicole, Natalie, Derek, Jenna, Ashley, Aaron, James, Andrew, and several great-grandchildren; brothers: Bart (Joyce), Clarence (Loretta), Terry (Phyllis) and Bruce (Joan), as well as large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Ruby was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Elsie Webber, and brother Thomas Webber.
Following COVID-19 guidelines and regulations, a private family visitation will be held at Fillatre Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Sunday, February 13th from 7-9 PM, with public visitations to follow on Monday, February 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 15th at 2:00 PM from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay with Reverend Amber Tremblett officiating. Face masks and proof of vaccinations will be required for entry into the visitations and funeral service. As per the families wishes, cremation is set to take place following the Funeral Service, there will be no burial at this time. As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations will be graciously accepted by the family.
