Ruby Charlotte Davis (nee Tomlin) passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Meadow Park Nursing Home in Chatham.
She was born and raised in Sombra, Ontario until she married Lloyd Davis and moved to Wallaceburg. She was a loving mother to William (Maureen) Davis, Georgina (Ed) Andrews, John Davis and Larry (Marlene) Davis. She lived in Wallaceburg for the remainder of her life. Ruby was an active member of the Wallaceburg Seniors Centre and the Wallaceburg Legion. She was predeceased by her two sons, John Davis and Larry Davis as well as her siblings Ray Tomlin, Donald Tomlin, Grace O’Neil, Dorothy MacDonald, Harriet McKillican , Madeline Eveson and Helen Momney.
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren – Ann Davis, Christine (Dennis) Dawe, Dennis (Michelle) Davis, Martel Davis, Anthony (Julie) Davis, Paul (Claire) Weaver, Jason (Sandi) Weaver, Christie Weaver, Jeff (Heather) Davis, Josh (Amanda) Davis, Jared (Elisha) Davis and her 16 great grandchildren.
A private visitation at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg has been held followed by cremation. An interment of her ashes will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of Meadow Park and Dr. Dax Biondi for the wonderful care they gave to our mother and grandmother in her final years.
