Roy Samuel Corbett
21 November 1934 – 8 October 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Samuel Corbett at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Friday, October 8, 2022 at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Shirley Corbett (nee Mathers) for 67 years. Dear father to Brian (Susan), Brenda (Jeff), Ken (Patsy), and predeceased by Kelly.
Cherished grandfather of Robert (Shari), Nicole predeceased, Jeremy, Jamie (Jen), Ashley (predeceased by Earle), and Holly. Great-grandfather to Addison, Charlize, Brooklynn, Kyla, and Jordan; Josh, Wyatt and Colton; Hayley, Jackson, Faith, Lillie and Aurora. Great-great grandfather to Dawson. Predeceased by siblings Mildred and Ronnie.
Roy will be fondly remembered by his sister–in-laws, Gwen (Jack), Bernice (Glen) and brother-in-law John (late Marjorie). Roy will be missed by his extended family and friends.
Roy’s greatest passions were running a backhoe, hunting, fishing and playing cards.
We wish to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Avalon Nursing Home for all the care and compassion given to Roy (Dad).
Thank you to the paramedics, doctors, and nurses of Headwaters Health Care Centre and Community Care Access staff.
A Private Family Service will be held at a later date with interment at Alton Cemetery.
