Roy was a kind, loving and gentle man who grew up in Whiteway. His dedication and love of his community was evident in his many years of giving back. Roy met the love of his life Melinda at a very young age. They were inseparable and where you saw one, you can be assured that the other was close by. Roy was an electrician and a business man for many years. He always took pride in his work and made sure his family was taken care of. Days spent with his family were his favourite. He loved gathering with family and friends for a sing-a-long. He bounced every one of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on his knee. It was the simple things that meant the most to him. He had a love for the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, trouting, berry picking, and time spent at the cabin. Roy enjoyed a good game of cards and his weekly bingo game. Roy’s door was always open and he always enjoyed company; the more, the merrier.
The family would like to extend thanks to the doctors and nurses at the cancer clinic and the nurses on 4 North A of the Health Science Centre. Special thanks to Doctor Humber, Public Health Nurse Shyanne Sellars, Kevin Banton of Welsh’s Pharmacy, All Care Home care for all your kindness and care.
