Passed away peacefully at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, on July 7th 2022, Roy Walter Goobie, age 79. Predeceased by his wife Ella Goobie, parents Mary and William Goobie, sister Verlie, brothers Ira, Melvin, and Gordon; sisters-in-law Geraldine and Ruth, brother-in-law Harry; and niece Karen.
Left with fond memories are his loving partner Jessie and her son Arthur (Donna); his children Keith, Cavell (Mario), Marlene (Don), and Kevin; brothers Dennis (Linda), Richard (Patsy), sister Evelyn, sister-in-law Trudy; grandchildren Jennifer, Christine, Megan, Dylan, Nathan, and Mason; great grandchildren Joey, Alexander, Jackson, and McKenzie; as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Special thank you to Dr. Armstrong, the staff at Dr. G.B Cross Memorial hospital and Cozy Quarters Retirement Centre for all of your kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Visitation and Funeral service will take place at Eternally Yours (formerly United Church), Queen’s Cove at a time to be announced pending family arrival.
Masks are required for both visitation and funeral service.
