At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Harold Roy Poapst of Cornwall; age 84 years. Beloved husband of Joan Poapst (nee Brownell). Loving father of Kevin Poapst (Karen) of Long Sault, and Steven Poapst (Kelly) of Chicago. Cherished grandfather of Michael (Josie), Adam (Anna), Braden, Mara, Abigail (Blake), Dryden, Nick (Lilly), and Kade, and great grandfather of Dawson and Anna. Predeceased by two sisters Helen Aitken (late Thomas) and Dorothy Caza, by his twin brother Ray, and by his parents Harold and Lena Poapst (nee Wert). Relatives and friends may attend a controlled attendance visitation at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St., Cornwall (613-938-3888) on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 1:30 pm -3:30 pm. For those who wish to attend the attendance controlled visitation must call the Wilson Funeral Home to reserve a time to attend. A private Chapel Service will follow. Spring Interment St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Ingleside. Masks and social distancing will be required inside the Funeral Home at all times. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or to the Trinity United Church, Ingleside would be appreciated by the family.
