Obituary
Roy MacGregor MacLean Adams
Passed away at the Veterans Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 8, 2022 at the age of 97, Roy Adams, a world War 2 Veteran of Dalhousie, NB. Husband of the late Rita (Tremblay).
Born on February 2, 1925 in Sillarsville P.Q, son of the late Hudson and Whilemina (Pratt) Adams.
Mourning his loss are his sons David (Karen) of Dalhousie, John (Louella) of Pt. LaNim; daughter Nora (David Thurlow) of Ancaster ON.; granddaughters Chantal, Melanie, Amy; grandsons Charles and Robert; step grandchildren Anne Plourde, Dominic Bujold, Madeleine Bujold as well as his great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Robert (Simonne Plourde) both deceased; brothers Lincoln, Richard, Percy, Dow, William and sisters Margaret, Ethel and Elizabeth. He was the last surviving member of the family.
Roy was a graduate from the Maritime Forest Ranger school in Fredericton NB. He worked at various jobs at the Canadian International Paper Companies (Woodland Division) for over 50 years where he became chief scaler and eventually Booming and Towing Superintendent.
Roy was past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, loved to exercise and go for his daily walks, writing and reciting poems, game shows (especially Jeopardy), loved to cook and always provided for his family.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Inas Yacoub and the staff of the Veterans Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital for the exceptional care as he was a resident there for the last seven years.
A private graveside funeral service will be held at a later date.
