He was the loving and devoted son of Stan and May Dunn. Born and raised in Sudbury, he attended Elm Street Public School & Sudbury High School and still has many friends from those days. He attended Western University and graduated from medical school in 1960. He returned to Sudbury as a General Practitioner at INCO Medical Centre and Copper Cliff Hospital. He married Dale McLeod on September 24th, 1960 at the Church of the Epiphany and was a devoted husband for 62 years. After 12 years, he decided to return to Western University to obtain his fellowship in Anesthesiology. Starting in 1976, he did cardiovascular anesthesiology at Memorial Hospital for 30 plus years. He was a long-time member of the Church of the Epiphany, member of Idylwylde Golf & Country Club and was very generous, supporting many charitable organizations. Elwood & Dale enjoyed travelling to Florida, Hawaii, Europe and other places with close friends. They enjoyed spending time at camp with family and friends and, in their later years, their grandchildren.
