Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rosie Meritta Russell announce her passing on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at the Western Long Term Care Unit, at the grand age of 98 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons: Max, Woodrow (Caroline), and Randy (Sharon); her daughter, Ada (John); beloved grandchildren: Joseph (Joann), Bram (Bridget), Steven, Suzanne (Jimmy), Melissa (Alex), and Michael (Suzie); her great-grandchildren: Matthew, Emily, Brooke, Bailey, Ashley, Aimee, Katherine, and Isaac; as well as her sister: Brenda (Stan); and her two sisters-in-law: Marilyn, and Marie. Rosie is predeceased by her husband, Isaac; sisters: Daphne (William), Geneva (Wally), and Audrey (Jim); as well as her brothers: Ross (Dorothy), and Ellis.
Rosie was known for her strength, courage, and love of her family; especially her grandchildren. The family would like to extend a thanks to the staff of the Western Long-Term Care, Still Waters unit for their kindness and compassion shown during Rosie’s time there.
There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 at the All Saints Anglican Church at 1:30 PM with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at the Townsite Anglican Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made to All Saints Anglican Church in Rosie’s memory.
