Rosemarie (Rose) Bellman (nee Picklyk) born March 16, 1936 and Gerald O’Connor (Gerry) born June 8, 1934 were partners for almost 40 years. They met in Edmonton in 1984 and were inseparable ever since. After living in Edmonton for decades, their adventures brought them to Nelson, BC to be closer to family. rose had a passion for cooking and hosting Sunday dinner for years, and she passed on her love of baking to one of her granddaughters. Bingo parlours around the world will also miss Rose, as she never missed an opportunity to play no matter where she was!!
Gerry moved to Canada from England when he was 14 to work as a ranch hand in Alberta before joining the Canadian military for over 20 years. Gerry enjoyed darts, soccer, cricket, and golfing over his lifetime. Gerry was able to pass on his passion for golf to his grandson in Nelson.
Gerry passed away on February 14, 2022 and Rose passed away three weeks later on March 11, 2022, which is a testament to their inseparability.
