1934-2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our special
mom, Roselle M. (Anderson) Christie, wife of the late Perley N.
Christie of Central Waterville, NB, on Monday, April 18, 2022 at DECH.
She was born on February 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Banford
and Pearl (Lawson) Anderson.
Mom is survived by her children Pauline (Jim) Pike, Patricia
(Stirling) Kent, Cindy (Shawn) McHatten, Carolyn (Larry) Moore, Jolene
(Doug) Ames, Nelson (Vicki) Christie and Nick Christie; grandchildren
Marcia (Chris) and Peter (Nicole), Rebecca (Courtney), Ben (Cindy),
Tom (Crystal) and Charity (Ken), Morgan (Samantha) and Tim, Brent,
Monica (Jason), Sonia (Reuben) and Nathan (Catherine), Jeremy
(Melissa) and Sarah (Jon), Samantha; great grandchildren Jackson,
Mackenzie, Madison, Avery and Ward, Josiah, Clara, Logan, Gibson,
Everett, Payton, Emery, Merryn, Reaghan, James, Abby and Jacob, Eva,
Jayden, Annie, Troy, Tia, Taylor, Mason, Khloe, Emily and Elliott;
sisters, Inez Scott and Doris Narrowmore; a brother-in-law Fred (Alta)
Christie; sisters-in-law Gwen Christie and Kathleen Christie; nieces
and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter Jacqueline; a sister Violet (late
Stanley) Hickey; a brother Carl (late Cora) Anderson; brothers-in-law
Carl Scott and Darrell Narrowmore.
Mom’s family was important to her, especially her great
grandchildren. Mom really loved the outdoors, whether working in the
garden, flowers, strawberry fields or being around the farm animals.
She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and knitting mitten and socks for
the family. She made quilts for all the children, grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive,
Nackawic, NB the evening previous to the funeral service on April 22,
2022 at the Maple Ridge Wesleyan Church with Rev. Mike Agrell and
Rev. Wayne Blinn officiating. Family remembrances were delivered by
Marcia Pike, Jason Pike and Courtney Libby. Music was provided by
Rev. Blinn. A private family interment took place at Temperance Vale
Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Fred Christie and Glen McGaghey.
Active pallbearers were grandsons Brent Moore, Nathan Moore, Peter
Pike, Ben Kent, Tom Kent, Morgan McHatten and Tim McHatten.
Special thanks to the staff of Pine Grove Nursing Home for their care
and compassion to Mom and especially to Amy, on 4NE during her last
hours.
For those who wish, donations can be made to Temperance Vale Cemetery,
Alzheimer Society or Pine Grove Nursing Home.
