Obituary of ROSE BUCKLEY
ROSE BUCKLEY
March 21, 1942 – February 13, 2022
After a lengthy illness, Rose peacefully passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, on February 13, 2022.
Rose will be sadly missed by everyone she knew.
She leaves behind her husband, John Buckley of 52 years; her children, Diane Burke, Mario Methot, Stanley Methot and Darlene Methot. Also her grandchildren; Derrick Jr., Mike, James, Cindy, Roxanne, Brendin, Chase, 16 grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Her siblings, John Bryant, Ilene Cowen, Jeannie Kreitzer, Linda Antonick as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her mother Mary; brother Henry; sister Mary; nephews Leo and Bob; son-in-law Derrick Burke, and brother-in-law Hughie Switzer.
Mom worked many years at the Manitoba Theatre Centre and took pride in her work. She enjoyed and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mom loved her yearly trips with her husband John to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where she had the courage to go parasailing. She enjoyed her bingo nights, and relaxing with a jigsaw puzzle.
Mom had a big heart, was strong willed, loving, caring, and a feisty little spit fire to all who knew her.
A Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Proof of full vaccination will be required.
