Rose Billey
On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Rose Billey of Edmonton, Alberta passed away at the age of 91 years.
Rose was born in Pemukan, Alberta on February 15,1931 and spent much of her childhood life in Mallaig, Alberta. Rose was married to Metro and together they had six children while living in Edmonton. They were blessed with numerous grandchildren. Rose enjoyed her career working at the Bay. She loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, volunteering, going to church and Sunday dinners. Her family was always number one in her life and she stood by them through life’s challenges and successes.
Rose will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Randy (Noreen) and Brent (Karla); and daughter, Brenda (John); along with numerous grandchildren. Rose is also fondly remembered by her brother, George; and sisters, Helen (Ken), Mary and Sophie.
She was predeceased by her husband, Metro (1994); son, Glenn (2005); daughters, Karen (2009) and Christine (2020); and by her brothers, Alex, Walter, Bill, Mike, Peter, Fred, John and Ed; and sisters, Vera, Katy, Jenny and Ann.
Rose’s life will be celebrated by her children and family at a private Graveside Service. She has touched the lives of many through her work, church and community contributions. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered.
The family is greatly appreciative of the compassionate care and kindness shown to Rose and the family by all the staff at Shepherd’s Care Kensington Village.
