It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Rose on Thursday, April 14, 2022, in her 95th year. Rose quietly left this world to achieve eternal life in Heaven.
Rose was the daughter of Salvatore and Giovanna Borsellino and the cherished mother of five children; Jim (Karen); Joanne (Ron Marini); John (Marilyn); Patrick (Patricia) and Perry (Angela). Predeceased by husband Patrick Bruzzese (2000). Rose also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren whose presence filled her with unbridled joy.
She will be sadly missed by her sister and best friend Narda (late Archie Delcol), brothers Sam Borsellino, the late Joseph Borsellino (2022) (Anne) along with many other family members and friends.
Rose was a beautiful woman who would do anything for anyone and not expect anything in return. She has affected so many lives with her kindness and selflessness and will be missed by all who were honoured to have known her.
Rose worked at Sears (Centre Mall) for many years – well into her 70’s. She cherished the friendships that she made while working there and kept those friendships for years after retiring. Unlike a typical grandmother Rose loved to watch sports, especially tennis and would stay up through the wee hours of the morning to take in matches from around the world.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated following the visitation at Annunciation of Our Lord Catholic Church, 280 Limeridge Road West at 2:00pm. Private burial to follow at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after the mass at Bay Gardens Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Nantes and the staff at Wentworth Heights Retirement Home for their continued care and kindness.
Family was everything to Rose and she was happiest when all her children/grandchildren were together. In this spirit and to honour her memory a donation to a children’s charity of your choice would be appreciated.
