It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rose on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, age 76 years, after a brief illness.
Predeceased by her parents Richard and Cecelia Kavanagh; sisters: Meta Farrell (Joseph), Mary Hanrahan (Patrick), Adelaide Antle (Felix) and Sister Maria Ricarda Kavanagh; and brother Richard.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 55 years John; son Jon (Donette); granddaughters Maria and Abby; sister Eileen Livermore (George) Arizona; brother John (Helen); special niece Bonnie Coleridge (LeMoine); great-nephew Adam Coleridge (Sara); great-nieces Andrea (Andrew) and Leah Carberry (Mark); great, great-niece Jade; great, great-nephew Levi; lifelong friends Bert and Judy Crocker; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved friends.
Rose loved family gatherings, reading, staying in touch with friends and her annual trip to Eastport with a large circle of friends and family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Boone, Dr. Power, and the nursing staff of 7th floor West at St. Clare’s for your kindness and compassion shown to Mom during her brief illness. We would also like to thank everyone who has reached out and supported our family during this time.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 from 2 p.m – 4 p.m and 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 29th, 2022 from Caul’s Chapel at 10 a.m with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
