Obituary of Ronald Christofferson
Ronald Christofferson of Middlebro, MB passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.
He survived by his beloved wife Barb; his three sons: Ed Christofferson (Jeri Christofferson), Craig Christofferson (Wendy Christofferson), Jim Christofferson, and his daughter Brenda Thiessen (Allan Thiessen); His grandchildren: Shanda Christofferson, Cory Christofferson, Chelsie Johnston (Christofferson), Brad Christofferson, Cathy Anderson, Chad Thiessen, Katelin Thiessen, six great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers Edmund Christofferson, Dalton Christofferson (Edith), Elmer Christofferson, Bert Christofferson (Ruth); three sisters, Margaret Blackburde (Ed), Eve Taylor (Morris), Vy Olson (Rolly), and grandson Shane Christofferson.
Ron was born in Sprague, MB on May 13, 1935. He was the son of Alexander and Katherine Christofferson. He grew up in Middlebro, MB and married Barb April 17, 1959. They were married for 63 years.
He worked at Joe Emes sawmill, his dad’s sawmill in Middlebro, MB and Maliki Ont. He also helped develop Buffalo Point, MB and worked at Sandilands Sawmill in Sprague, MB.
Ron enjoyed hunting, trapping and ice fishing. He was not one to venture too far from home, but he loved when his family and friends would come to visit, have a cup of tea, and tell stories. He also enjoyed spending time in his garden, feeding his birds, pet crows and squirrels.
Ron grew such a love for his special little girls/dogs (Mindy, Sassy, and Molly) – they were his world. His favorite saying about them was “They have so much love!”
There will be a private Family Service held on July 14, 2022, at 1:00 pm at his home in Middlebro.

God Bless and take good care of you Ronald Christoffereson. we were also in the Lumber Mill in Sundown Manitoba and John and Nettie would know him good,from the Krasniuks’, from the Loggers of SUNDOWN, Mb. J & N Enterprises. we knew him, I remember him. God bless. I just went to the concert of fans of Creedance Clearwater Revival and picked cherries and apples in Kelowna, and am headin back to my place, while driving my 79 GMC in those years.
