Ronald Christian Dueck passed away February 8th, 2022 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon at the age of 62. Ron was born May 9, 1959 in Outlook Sk. to Rudolf and Mary Dueck.
Ron was passionate about hunting of every kind if there was a season you can bet he had a tag for it. He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend as much time as he could with a line in the water. He was a dedicated family man and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. His love for his wife was undeniable. Ron LOVED being a grandpa he was passionate about instilling his love for the outdoors teaching his learned life lessons to his grandchildren.
He spent many years as a trusted and reliable employee working as a heavy wrecker, truck driver, several security positions and construction jobs. Other than Saskatoon many of the places he called home were Young, Macrorie and Unity Saskatchewan.
Ron is survived by his wife Cheryld Backstrom, sons Tyler Dueck, Lance Dueck and Ryan Pearce. His daughters Joanne (Derek) Elstad, Melanie (Mike) Haswell and Megan Pearce. As well as eight wonderful grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Rudy and Mary Dueck, brothers Lloyd Dueck and infant siblings Shelly and Robert Dueck.
A Memorial gathering to celebrate Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Edwards Family Centre, 333 4th Ave. North in Saskatoon. Parking is available in the parking lot across the street at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
