Obituary of Ronald Calvert Haughn
HAUGHN RONALD C. – passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital on Tuesday November 29, 2022; surrounded by his family. Born in St. Stephen, NB; he is the son of the late Ronald & Helen Haughn (Cunningham). He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years Norma Haughn (Hooper).
Ronald or “Cal” to his friends Was an automotive teacher for most of his 37 years at Simonds High School in Saint John, NB. Ronald loved golf, movies, Elvis Presley and Harleys. Even to his last days he dreamt of owning a Harley Davidson again.
Survived by his children Kelly (Mike Scott) of Saint John, NB, Scott (Joann) of Chamcook, NB, a special nieces in Ronald’s life Natalie (Hooper) Sode, Jessie Hatt and Kayla Doak, who saw “Uncle Calvert” as their second father.
Special thanks for the special care to all the nurses at Saint John Regional Hospital, ER and Floor 1 at Charlotte County Hospital and the EMP program who took such great care of Ronald over the years.
By Ronald’s request cremation will take place. Friends are welcomed to attend a memorial graveside service to be held on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 1PM at the St. John the Baptist Chapel of Ease Cemetery in Chamcook, NB, weather permitting.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes, Canadian Liver Foundation of New Brunswick, By The Sea Pentecostal Church, All Saints Anglican Church Building Fund or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
