Ronald Niels, of Wawota, Saskatchewan, passed away at the Deer View Lodge, Wawota, on Monday, August 29, 2022 at the age of 81 years.
Ron was born in Broadview on June 4, 1941 to Peter and Elizabeth Niels. He attended school in Broadview then moved to Grenfell and lived with his mother until her death.
Ron worked as a mechanic, loved to walk, liked sweets, loved live music and reading mechanic magazines.
In 2003 at age 62, he moved to Carlson House and lived there for 18 years then moved to Wawota, Deer View Lodge on June 3, 2021.
Ron was predeceased by his parents and his brother who had lived in Penticton.
A graveside funeral will be held at Wawota Cemetery on Thursday, September 1st, at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in memory of Ron.
