Aged 67 years old of Thompson, MB passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 10th,2022 at the Thompson General Hospital with family & friends by his side.
Ronny was born on August 25th, 1955 in Thicket Portage, MB to his parents William Dorion and Edna Parenteau. Ronny was single and he had a child named Jerry Chartier.
Ronny attended school in Thompson Manitoba at R.D. Parker Collegiate. Ronny worked for parks as a labourer cutting wood, brush, painting and other odd jobs. He began working for the City of Thompson in the early 1990s till he retired in September of 2022.
He enjoyed watching Hockey and he played baseball when he was younger. He loved playing cards, going to the casino and he really loved playing house bingo and bingo with his family and friends. He loved listening to country music and gospel music.
Ronny was predeceased by his (grand-parents) Lawrence and Lenore Pronteau, Baptiste and Veronica Dorion (Parents) William and Edna Dorion (Brother) Lawrence Dorion (Sister) Muriel Dorion (Brother in Law and Sister) Nicholas and Marie Bittern (Aunts & Uncles) Harry & Leona Pronteau, Robert & Rosalie Pronteau, Joe & Edith Pronteau, Marcel & Florence Pronteau, Jim & Isabelle Pronteau, Marie Pronteau, Louise Pronteau, Pat & Rosie Reber, Phillip & Annie Brightnose, Tony Genaille, Jonas Dorion, Reggie & Jennie Dorion, Gilbert & Marcella Dorion, George & Flora Chartier, Mary & William Thomas Bittern, Alice & Joe Bittern, Mrytle Dorion (Great Niece) Aria Dorion and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ronny is survived by (son) ; Jerry (Gail) Chartier, (Grandsons) Clint & Blake (Great Granddaughter); Alize (Great Grandsons); Isaac and Jacob, (Sister) Marlene (Irwin) Kehler (Sister) Mildred Dorion (Sister) Melinda (Jack) Ducharme (Brothers) Lawrence and Rudy Dorion (Brother in law) Scott Demeria (Bestfriend) Darlene Chartier (Nephew) William (Jaycee) Dorion (Niece) Dakota Dorion-Evans (Aunts & Uncles) Solomon (Carol) Parenteau , Louie (Caroline) Pronteau, Isabelle Genaille, Albert Dorion, Numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Wake Service will be held at The Legion Hall in Thompson in Thompson starting at 7pm Thursday November 17th 2022.
Funeral service will be held at The Legion hall in Thompson at 1pm Friday November 18th 2022
Interment to follow at the Thompson Cemetery
Lunch will be served at The Legion Hall after Interment
