Obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the passing of our father, Ronald Hinks on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his daughter Kimberly of Trenton Ontario, his sons Wayne in Lourdes and Michael in Seoul Korea, his grandsons, Ashley, Darren and Dwyane; his grandchildren, Keghan, Karlee, Brooklyn, Leena and Allison, his special friend Joan Marche and a large circle of relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Michael Joe Hinks and Helen (LeCoure) Hinks, spouse Alice (Retieffe) Hinks, daughter Judy Demont, son Richard, sister Kathleen Pike and brother Fenton Hinks.
Dad was a man who truly loved life and lived without regret. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, telling yarns and laughing out loud. He enjoyed a good game of cards, socializing, music, dancing and drink. He has a love for the great outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a kind and dependable father who wholeheartedly loved his family.
As per Ron wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will take place in 2023.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to Lourdes Grotto.
Also, a special thank you to the nurses and doctors in Stephenville for their special care Ron received during his time with them.
In life, we loved you dearly
In death, we love you still
In our hearts you hold a place
