Obituary
Rondon Bruce “Ron” Campbell died peacefully at his home in Winnipeg, MB, on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the age of 86 years.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Doris, his children Sherrie Campbell, Lorraine Campbell, Bruce Campbell, Giselle (Ron) Lussier, Lisa (Trent) Thornborough; stepchildren Sandy (Wayne) Klassen, Debbie (Dean)Schrader, Cathy (Woody) Woodworth, Fred (Judy) Strawson, Connie Young and Cindy Strawson and by former spouse Marg Berry. Ron had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents Duncan and Mary (May) Campbell, cousin Verda Selmes & by previous wife Lorraine Campbell (nee Simoens).
Ron grew up and farmed in Cypress River Manitoba and later became a bush pilot out of Flin Flon and Thompson, a job he loved. He then moved to Winnipeg where he became a cabinet maker and later a superintendent at a high-rise apartment block in downtown Winnipeg. Ron and his wife Doris then moved to Treherne where they enjoyed twenty years of happy retirement before moving back to Winnipeg to live.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Glencoe Cemetery, Cypress River, MB, with Sandra Rex officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Cypress River Community Hall. Everyone is welcome.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Ron’s memory to The Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
