Obituary For Ron Bolin
Ron Bolin, resident of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Rio Grande, AB, at the age of 67 years.
Ron was born on February 26, 1954, in Beaverlodge, and raised on the family farm in Rio Grande. He went to school in Beaverlodge and Elmworth, AB. Ron was a farmer, truck driver, harness maker, and enjoyed breaking horses to drive.
Ron was a very strong-minded, hard-working man that never quit no matter what he was doing.
He enjoyed riding in the mountains, quadding, camping, and all other outdoors activities. His number one interest in life was chuckwagons along with looking after livestock, freezing in roads, sleighrides, rodeos and breaking draft horses in the winter.
Ron will be sadly missed by his wife Sherry; children: Sharlee (Jamie) Anderson, Jayme (Marty) Lillico, and Raylee Bolin; grandchildren: Jagger, Hayze, and Maveryk Anderson, Cruz and Dally Lillico; sisters Trudy McRae and Barb Bolin; brother Jack (Rinly) Bolin; as well as nephews: Chris McRae, Alec and Chance Bolin.
Ron was predeceased by his father Ivar “Sonny” Bolin; mother Gladys Bolin; as well as brother in-law Jim McRae.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 2:00pm, at the Rio Grande Rodeo Grounds Pavilion.
Memorial Donations may be made to PARDS (710009 Range Rd 55, County of Grande Prairie No. 1, AB, T8W 5A7), or to Beaverlodge Hospital Foundation (Box 480, Beaverlodge, AB, T0H 0C0).
