Obituary
Romona Annette Redinger
March 5, 1949 – September 23, 2022
With sad hearts we say goodbye to a “one of a kind” woman, mother, sister, and friend.
She will always be missed by her son Jon Carter, son and daughter-in-law Chad and Anna Carter, daughter and son-in-law Christine and Joel Walrod; grandsons, Jesse, Ben, TJ, Charlie, Andy and Jake; granddaughters, Arianna, Sadie, Carleigh, Kenzie and Ellie; great granddaughter Maggie; and brother and sister-in-law Murray and Shirley Redinger.
Romona is reunited with her cherished son Timothy, beloved brother Andy and very special mom and dad Norma and Jake Redinger.
Smiles are infectious and those that knew her understood the positive energy she shared. As a mother she would do anything for her children as they were her biggest source of pride. As a friend she would make things better, bringing laughter to everything. As a woman she was strong and talented being self employed as a hair stylist most of her life- always supporting her family. She was proud of herself for building a successful business and was never afraid of hard work. It did not take much to make her happy and material things meant very little to her….her family meant everything.
Romona had no regrets. She lived life her way. Nobody told her what to do or she would kick you in the shin! She loved her romance novels and cowboys in tight jeans. She was not afraid to try new things and once jumped out of a plane….luckily she remembered her parachute. She loved music, especially the Bee Gees, and Christmas- always having many ornately decorated trees. She loved dressing for Halloween but hated scary movies. She had a soft spot for pets, out at 6AM every morning walking her dog. She travelled around the world many times spending years living in Iran and Saudi Arabia- not secure places for a modern-stubborn lady! She was prone to acting a bit wild and at times there were party hats and a few food fights along the way. She kept life interesting and was always someone you wanted to hang out with. She lived and loved hard. We will miss her immensely.
Mom, thank you for sharing your spirit! Safe travels and wherever your travels take you…it’s doubtful you’re resting in peace….that’s just not your style!
