Roland Saucier
1951-2022
Roland Saucier, 70, of Kinnear
Settlement, passed away at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University
Hosptial, Moncton, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Born in Edmundston,
he was a son of the late Alfred and Lucienne (Michaud)
Saucier.
Roland, known as “Bebe” by
many, was a genuinely kind man. He loved his nieces and nephews, and
would often play the role of Santa for children. He retired from
Country Liquidation Warehouse after working there for many years, and
creating a strong bond with his employer and friend, Clayton (Helen)
Albert and their daughter Jessica Albert, which lasted long after
retirement and into his final days. He loved ski-doing, 4-wheeling,
and especially making puzzles.
Survived by his brother, Réal
of ON; sisters, Rolande (The late Georges) Bourgoin of St
Léonard, Annette Saucier of Edmundston, Diane (Maurice)
Soucy of Verret, Marie-Mai Saucier of New Hampshire; as well as many
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by his sisters, Rina and Aline; brothers, Jean-Yves, Yvon,
and Jean Guy.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private
service will be held at The Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800) with
Pastor Mackenzie Hiltz officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be
held in Edmundston at a later date, followed by interment in St.
Hilaire Cemetery.
If desired, memorials to The Heart and
Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
