Obituary
Roger Francois Verquin, age 78, loving husband and father of 5, passed away peacefully in the arms of his daughter Jade early Friday morning on March 4th. Roger was born on November 21, 1943, in the Crowsnest Pass. He was the eldest of 5 siblings.
Roger met his wife Wendy in 1978, while attending a church service. He quickly asked her out and three dates later they decided to get married and that was 44 years ago. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. He was a devout Christian, always seeking the truth in all things, loved his bible and firmly believed the earth was flat. Roger enjoyed spending his free time researching sasquatch, gold mining, riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, painting, leather & wood working.
Roger is survived by his wife Wendy, daughter Jade (Dale), grandchildren Mason, Ariana, and Esme, daughter Page (Chris), son Ira (Kaiytee), grandchildren Raddek, Riya, & Lilah, son Jules (Sandra), son Guy (Angelique), grandchildren Ember & Cole, brother Terry (Barb), and sister, Debbie (Jack) Brander & sister, Brenda (Norm) Petherbridge.
A memorial will be held for Roger at 1:30pm on March 12th at Hinton Alliance Church and a live stream will be available. Everyone is welcome.
