Obituary of Rodney Milton Tibbits
Now with the Lord, Rod passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Peterborough on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the age 90. Beloved husband of Barbara (née Russell). Brother of Harold and his wife Kathy and the late Arthur. Loving Papa of Karen and Brian.
Rodney was a hardworking man. At age thirteen, he began selling asparagus every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before attending school. He later started his own business, Ron Hauling in Waterdown, Ontario. This sparked his love for construction and big equipment. Rodney was also a man of faith and showed this in his daily actions. Rod, commonly known as Ron, assisted the superintendent and other residents in the apartment building at 421 Sheridan Street in Peterborough. Rodney will be remembered for his dependability, loyalty, and warm personality. He was always willing to lend a hand and a listening ear. He will be missed by his many friends and those who loved him dearly.
Friends and family may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – NORWOOD CHAPEL, 36 Queen Street, Norwood, Ontario on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 PM. A reception will be held following the service at the Norwood Community Centre – Millennium Room, 88 Alma Street, Norwood.
