Rodney Norman Beaudoin 2022

Our father “the ultimate family man” passed away after battling PSP Disease for over 2 years on May 17, 2022 at 89 years of age. Beloved husband of our mother Carol for 56 years, until her death in 2013. We know that Dad missed her dearly. Cherished and loved father of Rodney (Patty), Randy, Leslie, and Lesha. Adored and loved grandfather of Aymee Ouellette (Adam), Jeffery “JC” Theriault (Kristy), Randy Beaudoin, Tylar Beaudoin, Samantha Beaudoin and Jeremy Beaudoin. Special great-grandfather of Drake Lee, Mya and Jax Ouellette, Graisen and Hayden Beaudoin, Mason Theriault and Gale Beaudoin. Predeceased by his parents Gerald and Maggie. Survived by his loving sisters Violet and Bernice. Brother of the late Wallace, Adelaide, Martha, Flossie, Pearl, Stan, Beatrice, Nelson and Donnie.
Norm was an employee of Chrysler Canada for over 40 years and the owner of Norm’s Variety on the west side. Norm’s Variety was a focal point in the neighbourhood for kids of all ages, “the store of the penny candy”. Norm was a coach and member of Windsor West Little League for many, many years. Our father was the “ultimate father” in so many ways. He was always there for his family, during the times of us being involved in baseball and as we grew up towards being adults. We are sure that all of our friends who would come over to play Euchre and have our Monopoly marathons until the wee early morning will fondly remember our Dad. Let’s not forget the puzzles. Our father was and is a devout Catholic and is now with God and his wife, our mother Carol. We love you Dad.
Thank you to the staff at Chateau Park Long Term Care for taking care of our father. If you so desire, donations to the Assumption Church Restoration Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
Visitation Friday May 20, 2022 from 5 – 8 pm with Parish Prayers at 7:45 pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor. On Saturday May 21, 2022, family and friends are invited to Our Lady of Assumption Church (2735 University Ave W.) to continue visiting from 10 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
