Robert is lovingly remembered by his son, Sheldon (Holly); and his daughter, Lisa; grandchildren, Lindsey (Ryan) Matiushyk and Madison (Janelle) Davis; great-grandchildren, Eddy and Charlie Matiushyk and Ellie and Beckam Davis; brother, Tom (Violet); sister, Linda Zorniak; sister-in-law, Lil Saskiw; Sheldon and Lisa’s mother, Lovett Saskiw; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) and Mary; brother, Albert (Bert) and brother-in-law, Chris Zorniak.

After retiring in 2010, he always looked forward to helping his nephews and brother-in-law during harvest season.
