It is with profound sadness and immense love that we say goodbye to our beloved father, brother, husband and best friend.
Mike passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on June 9th, 2022 in his 67th year.
Beloved husband of Susan Smith (nee Wells). He was so very proud & loved his two children, Shannan Hewak and Nicholas Smith (Nicole Tamayo). He was the proud and loved grandfather of Jase & Vann Hewak, Parker & Tenley Smith and Jordyn Tamayo. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Brenda Sinclair. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Robert Russell Smith & Catherine Anne Theresa (nee Bulger).
Mike will be remembered for his love of life and his friends who have meant so much to him. He cherished each and every one of you.
Mike was born and raised in Cobourg, Ontario. From there he lived and worked in Peterborough, where he and Susan were married in 1976. He eventually moved to South Porcupine, Barry’s Bay, Bowmanville and finally Wilmot Creek.
Mike loved his sports, hockey, baseball, golf, darts as well as coaching hockey and ball when his son was younger. He enjoyed the people in his life who he was so proud to have as his friends.
We will all miss him so very much.
Yours forever & a day!
