Obituary of Robert Kevin Dobbin
Robert Kevin Dobbin of Quispamsis departed this life on January 16, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side.
Rob was born April 17, 1963, the son of the late R. Stuart and Ruth Dobbin. He leaves behind his beloved wife Diane and her children Elizabeth (David) Rideout, Ashley Nickerson and Danny (Jessica) Nickerson and grandchildren; Jonathan, Bradley, Christopher, Avah, Trinity, Hunter and Makayla. Also surviving are sister Linda Stilwell and brother James (Pamela) Dobbin.
For many years Rob and Diane operated Village Pet Centre and for the last several years Rob has been employed by ANBL at the Rothesay store where he served as product advisor. Rob loved his family, over the years it also included various dogs, cats, fish and other pets. His new passion was dyeing his own wool and cranking out socks. Rob was known as the “Cranky Kranker.”

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, service details will be available at a later date on the funeral home website. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada or to Diabetes Canada.

  3. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. He was a very friendly man, always upbeat. I remember years ago, when I was breeding budgies, he would buy the full-grown babies for his pet store. I always appreciated his outgoing manner, kindness, knowledge, and sincere interest in animals. I am very sorry for your loss.
