Obituary of Robert Henry Buxton
Now reunited with his “Gillie Flower”, Robert passed away on January 26th, 2022. Predeceased by his wife Gillian (2009). Loving father to Debra Bowman (Gary), Paul Buxton (Karyn), Alan Buxton (Sally), Anita Buxton Valvasori. Proud Grandad to nine grandchildren; Nick Bowman, Alexandra Bowman (Bronson Smith), Rachael (Ryan Oskam), Robert (Georgia Morrin), Claire, Matthew (Emily Kaczmarski), Hannah (Cruise Perna), and Ava and Gillian Valvasori. Five time Great-Grandad to Allister, Asher, Hadley, Iris, and Isla. Robert is survived by his sisters Lynn Overall in Alabama and Carole Buxton-Bains in England. He will be dearly missed by his sister and brother-in-law Jean and Barrie Ward in Burlington.
Robert worked for General Motors as a Pattern Maker, retiring in 1994.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private interment will take place in the Spring where Gillian and Robert will be Together Again, Forever.
Arrangements entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. If desired, donations to Tabor Manor would be appreciated by Robert’s family.
