Robert Allen Glover 1946 2022

With great sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of our loving husband and father, Robert Allen Glover. Bob passed away on October 31, 2022 at the St Boniface Hospital with loved ones by his side.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Valerie (nee Vallis); his daughters Tracy (Scott) and Karen (Jason); and his pride and joy, his adored grandchildren Sam, Evan, Tyler, Noah, Laura and Ryan. He also leaves many lifelong friends and family that are in our hearts.
Bob was pre-deceased by his mother Grace, father Ross, and brothers David and Bill.
Bob was a proud City of Winnipeg Firefighter. He joined the WFD in 1968, retiring in January 2000 as a Captain. He cherished the many friends he made during his 32 years of service.
Bob enjoyed golfing, rum and cokes, and watching the Jets, Blue Jays and Bombers on TV. He also enjoyed his daily meetings at “the office” (The Princess Hotel) with friends to discuss recent events and solve world problems.
The family would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and love during this time. They would also like to send their heartfelt thanks to Rod, Adrian, Cheryl, Bob and Lorraine for their help getting us through this sad time.
Cremation has taken place and as per Bob’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
Family and friends are invited to leave condolences and share memories on Bob’s memorial page on Alterna Cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Transcona Legion Branch 7, 117 Regent Ave East.
