Robert William Pearcey Ret’d RNC Superintendant April 30 1941 to August 15 2022

Passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022, retired RNC superintendent Robert William Pearcey. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Audrey Pearcey. Leaving to mourn wife Alma, sister Joan, nephews Chris Fowler, Tim Fowler and his wife Nicole, niece Barbara Fowler, grandnephews Spencer Fowler and Alex Fowler; other relatives and friends including Gordon Crawley, Freeman Twyne, and Paul Dawe.
Robert’s contribution to the RNC included leadership in the fight for the rights and dignity of police officers and later, in the opening and serving as the first superintendent of the Labrador West and Corner Brook detachments.
We would like to express a very special thank you and sincere appreciation to the staff of 4NE at Pleasant View Towers for months of kind and compassionate care.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday, August 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 20 at 12 p.m. Inurnment to follow in Forest Road Anglican Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Robert’s memory to Parkinson’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
