Obituary
Robert Roy Campbell passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on December 6 2022 at the age of 82 years.
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Gladys Campbell, as well as his sister Audrey Larochelle, brothers Grant (Late Florence), Ronald (Late Tony), Ralph (Late Claire), Jim (Late Maggie) and Charley.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Pauline and dear daughter Katharine Preston (Paul).
He will be dearly missed by the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Corey (Melissa), Cassidy (Emily), Cassandra MacMillan (Don), and Candace. Great-grandfather to Addie, Chelsea and Remi. He also leaves his sisters June Brousseau (Duke), Margaret Chuckry (Roy), sister-in-law Sharron Campbell, brother-in-law Maurice Larochelle and 15 nieces and nephews.
Robert was a generous, light-hearted and compassionate soul. He loved the simple things in life like hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his precious grandchildren. Robert had a successful career as a truck driver and retired in 1981 from Anderson Windows.
His personality was playful like the Disney character Goofey with his grandchildren, even though his favorite collection was Mickey Mouse.
He will be greatly missed by his family, always remembered in our hearts.
A committal service will be held in the spring of 2023 at St Mary’s Cemetery in North Bay.
We are sincerely grateful to the many friends and family who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Redhead, Dr. Ng, as well as the nurses and staff at Waters Edge Care Community.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society will be greatly acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
