Robert NORMAN Walker
1933-2021
Robert “Norman” Walker, 88, of McAdam, NB, passed away
peacefully at Wauklehegan Manor in McAdam, NB on December 28, 2021.
He was born on November 10, 1933. Norm was the second youngest born of
seven children to the late David and Rachel (McConaghy) Walker of Port
Rush, Northern Ireland.
Norm came to Ontario in 1969 where he met Evelyn Walker. They were
married in 1971 and he planted his Canadian roots in Rockwood and
Guelph, Ontario.
In 2008, Norm then moved his roots to the village of McAdam, NB.
Norm was the proud father and cherished grandfather of children: David
Walker of Ingersoll, ON and Norma Walker-O’Brien (Tim) of Guelph, ON;
step children: Brenda Bolton of Stratford, ON and Brad Bolton of Erin,
ON; grandchildren: Victoria, Paige, Violet and Nolan.
Norman was predeceased by his siblings James, John, William, Dorothy,
Kathleen and George and by a granddaughter Kaitlin in 2012.
At Norm’s request cremation has taken place. No visitation will be
held and a private family service will be held at a later date.
A special thank-you to the wonderful and caring staff at Oromocto
Public Hospital, NB and to Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB for the
compassionate care of Norm during his stay over the last year.
